British strict management of animal experiments

British Home Office for the experimental animal suffering with an official-level evaluation criteria: mild - moderate - strong. According to this standard, open probe into the monkey skull caused by the brain that process pain level is only classified as "moderate." But many people think it is closer to a "strong" - the definition of this level could "make a serious animal health and comfort away from the normal state."

The official classification standard has aroused much controversy. House of Lords in 2002 had criticized the system "is highly misleading."

Even so, some scientists still believe that, compared with other countries, the British government animal control is the most stringent. Any organization involved in animal experiments need to obtain a license; involved in animal experiments, researchers also must have the appropriate qualifications; in the implementation of every animal experimental procedures have to be registered; animal experiments only in the absence of any other alternative subjects circumstances can be approved for implementation.
